DC Kits Class 129 Parcels Car - Hydra.

This is another project which I completed some time ago. But hopefully some pictures posted here may help somebody else who is about to start to model this popular prototype.

The DC Kits model is a very good quality plastic kit. The level of detailing is excellent and with care and attention a very good quality model can be produced. The manufacturer recommends building the kit form the floor upwards, but I found it easier to build from the roof downwards. This allows the body to be removed and any interior detailing to be included with greater ease. I added a Black Beetle motor bogie along and a dummy bogie for additional electrical pickup along with the obligatory loco decoder. Contact details for DC Kits may be found on my Links page.

A few pictures below give a bit of a taste of the completed model. Unfortunately the camera seems to have picked out the internal wires far too clearly!
